JRC Goals and Structure
The JRC coordinates the implementation of the City of Jamestown's Urban Design Plan and Neighborhood Revitalization Plan. It does so through a wide range of public-private partnerships. It also facilitates ongoing dialogue around issues that affect implementation of both plans.
The JRC is represented by a two person staff who report to a 13-member board of directors. The board of directors is comprised of city leaders, foundation representatives and other stakeholders.
Focus on Downtown
The JRC facilitates strong public-private partnerships focused on reviving downtown Jamestown and its waterfront. The results of everyone's focused and concentrated efforts in the urban design footprint have been noticed, and the Jamestown community has proven itself committed to capturing the opportunity for development and rejuvenation over the long term.
Focus on Neighborhoods
The JRC coordinates and participates in a wide range of efforts to stimulate reinvestment in Jamestown’s neighborhoods. Through revitalization incentives, beautification efforts, educational programs, and planning support, the JRC and its partners are working to give residents the confidence and resources to invest in their homes and engage with their neighbors.
